Berkeley Analytical’s services include VOC emission testing of all types of furniture and interior building products and finishes as well as the measurement of product content and exposure parameters for semi-volatile organic pollutants. Berkeley Analytical operates the ClearChem™ declaration program for its customers, which facilitates the creation of ISO 14021 compliant self-declared environmental product claims.

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, a non-profit organization, administers the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Product Standard, which was gifted to the Institute by its Founders, William McDonough and Dr. Michael Braungart, in 2010.

The Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) tool is a free tool that allows benchmarking, assessment and reductions in embodied carbon per material category, focused on the upfront (stage A1-A3) supply chain emissions of construction materials. The EC3 tools was incubated at the Carbon Leadership Forum with input from nearly 50 industry partners.

The Healthy Building Network (HBN) was founded in 2000 to reduce the use of hazardous chemicals in building products as a means of improving human health and the environment.

The HPD Collaborative has developed and maintains the Health Product Declaration Open Standard. Today the HPD Open Standard, a voluntary, stakeholder consensus standard, has become established as the leading industry standard for reporting building product content and associated health information. It is incorporated as a reporting tool in many leading certification programs, such as LEED v4 and WELL, and is also the foundation for industry harmonization efforts to establish a single method that can simplify reporting – and also improve the accuracy, consistency and reliability – of information about building products and health.

The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) is a nonprofit working to build an ecologically-minded, restorative world for all people. Using principles of social and environmental justice, ILFI seeks to counter climate change by pushing for an urban environment free of fossil fuels. ILFI runs the Living Building Challenge, which is the world’s most rigorous green building standard, not to mention several other programs: the Living Product Challenge, the Living Community Challenge, and the Reveal, Declare and Just labels. These programs develop a green framework for living in a 21st-century world.
